The Day Series
On the first Monday in August 2021, I began The Day Series, a year-long project in which I created one artwork every weekday. Each collage and color gradient was made using the previous week’s New York Times Sunday newspaper as both the source of its color palette and its collage material. The project concluded on July 29, 2022.
The Day Series has been exhibited at the Gadsden Museum of Art (2021–2022), Magic City Art Connection (2022), the Wiregrass Museum of Art (2023) in Dothan, Alabama, Gallery Vox (2024) in Birmingham, Alabama, the Roger Glass Center for the Arts (2025) at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio, and ArtClvb, Detroit, MI (2025).
